I just finished the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 campaign, and I’m still thinking about it. While Black Ops campaigns are good, the storyline behind Modern Warfare is just better.
The Story
The writing is excellent. The campaign gives its characters room to breathe, so the big moments really hit when they arrive. The pacing switches between quiet, tense missions and full-scale chaos at just the right times, and I never felt like I was being rushed from one set piece to the next. By the end I cared about these people and what happened to them, and I can’t say that about every shooter.
The Gameplay
It feels really smooth. Movement is fluid, gunplay is tight and responsive, and moving between stealth, close-quarters fights and big open battles never feels clunky. Every weapon has real weight, and the mission variety kept me engaged from start to finish.
Final Thoughts
If you usually skip Call of Duty campaigns, don’t skip this one. Modern Warfare 4 has a great story and polished, satisfying gameplay. It’s easily one of the best campaigns the series has delivered. Highly recommended.
